What is Cosmetic Dentistry?

Cosmetic dentistry is the term used to refer to dental procedures that are done with the aim of improving the appearance of the patient’s teeth and smile. These include such routine procedures as a tooth whitening session or an oral hygiene session, or the restoration of small cracks on the surface of the teeth, but can also include such complex procedures as getting porcelain veneers, orthodontic treatment, or even crowns and bridges.

Beauty isn’t everything!

Few people know how far oral medicine and the science of dentistry have come, we can change not only the colour of teeth or their alignment, but also their shape and length, not to mention the shape and curve of the gums as well- if there is reason to believe it will benefit the patient’s health.

This last sentence is very important to us, because we believe that an aesthetic procedure should never compromise or affect the patient’s health. This is why all of our dental procedures, including aesthetic treatments, begin with a preliminary analysis.

Tartar removal

The first and most important step in preventing dental problems form occurring. After the treatment your teeth will be whiter, smoother, and you will not need to worry about tartar and discoloration for a few months.

Aesthetic filling

Aesthetic fillings are the best way to restore the appearance and function of teeth, and are the most effective weapon against preventing further tooth decay.

Tooth whitening session

Certain lifestyle and environmental factors can cause the surface of teeth to become discoloured. This discolouration can be rectified in one dentist appointment- our tooth whitening sessions can brighten your teeth by up to 8-10 shades, and in just under 90 minutes.

Inlay / onlay

When teeth break due to severe tooth decay or trauma to the teeth, sometimes a filling isn’t enough to restore normal function. Inlays and onlays are tooth replacement meant to restore the missing bits of the teeth, and are much longer lasting than tooth fillings. Inlays and onlays require only 2 visits and are done in a few days.

Crowns

Our ceramic crowns are exact replicas of living teeth, and are the perfect replacements for damaged, decayed or missing teeth. We can place them on top of your natural teeth, or in case of missing teeth, on dental implants as well.

Bridges

Porcelain bridges are traditionally used to replace missing teeth. The procedure is pain free, and only takes us only a couple of days to make you an exact replica of your missing teeth that is comfortable and undetectable.

Dentures

Removable dentures are a method devised to replace missing teeth, even when all of the teeth are missing. If you are looking for a quick and cost effective way to replace missing teeth, dentures can offer an aesthetically pleasing solution.
